We are pleased to announce that for the second year running we have been awarded an AA Rosette for food.
Guests have the choice of dining in the Market Place Restaurant or more informally in the oak-beamed Courtyard, both of which offer a wide range of delicious dishes at reasonable prices. In addition to the ever changing Specials' Board, a traditional one, two or three course Sunday lunch is served.
At lunchtime, we offer both a main restaurant and a lighter bites menu at The George Hotel. Here at The George Hotel, an emphasis is put on fresh local ingredients, so wherever possible, our food and real ales are sourced from growers and producers within Yorkshire.
Our wine list offers an extensive choice of wines to compliment your food. Coffee is served in the relaxing atmosphere of our residents' lounge, with its antique kitchen range. Parties and special occasion dinners are a speciality, please contact us for details.
The Bar has the traditional atmosphere of a Yorkshire Pub and it has evolved over the years into a series of connected areas to give a cosy feel. The open log fire provides additional winter cheer. Being Cask Marque accredited and in the 2020 Good Beer Guide, we offer a fine selection of cask ales, with at least one guest ale available at all times. Our bar is a great place to relax and enjoy a well earned pint!
